The historical quartet game “Wunder der Technik” by F.X. Schmid, Munich, offers a fascinating glimpse into the technological achievements of the early post-war era. Its black-and-white photographs show machines, vehicles and technical developments that represented progress and modernity in the mid-20th century.
The game belongs to the well-known “Quartett-Bibliothek der Unterhaltung und des Wissens” series, in which F.X. Schmid combined entertainment with educational content. Today, the quartet is also an interesting historical document of German technology, industrial history and gaming culture of the 1950s.
