An original double deck playing card set produced during the 1940s by the renowned Altenburg playing card industry.
Manufactured by the Vereinigte Altenburger und Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken (VASS), this set reflects the classic design of the French playing card system during the wartime and immediate post-war period. The combination of the original “Oceana – Bridge” slipcase box, unused cards and the preserved original paper wrappers makes this ensemble a rare collectible within European playing card culture.
