A beautiful and rare vintage playing card set by Ferd. Piatnik & Söhne, Vienna, model No. 232 “Sehr feine Karten”, produced in the late 1950s.

This classic set combines traditional Austrian playing card craftsmanship with elegant mid-century design. Presented in a finely crafted carved wooden box with decorative chip carving (Kerbschnitt), it represents a charming example of post-war European game culture and makes an attractive collectible for players and enthusiasts alike.

Two complete Piatnik decks (each 55 cards, approx. 92 × 64 mm)

Deck colors: brown and green with floral back design

Presented in a handcrafted wooden box with decorative chip carving

Satin-finished wood surface with elegant mid-century appearance

Original tuck boxes with light age-related wear

Both decks complete and ready to play

Wooden box in very good condition, stable hinges and attractive vintage patina

In the brown deck, the Ace of Spades shows a small crease in the upper area (see photo 10)

In the green deck, the King of Clubs shows a small crease in the upper area (see photo 10)

The brown tuck box has a damaged bottom but remains stable and functional (see photo 10)

These minor, honest signs of use do not affect playability and emphasize the authentic vintage character of the set
