A decorative Patience double deck produced by VEB Altenburger Spielkartenfabrik (East Germany) under the COEUR label in the 1960s. Editions of this series are known for their fine illustrations, clean printing quality and elegant presentation as gift card sets of the period.

Two complete 55-card decks, unused and in very good condition
Patience card format: approx. 66 mm × 44 mm
Smooth satin-finished card stock with fine DDR offset printing
Court cards designed in a decorative Rococo / Biedermeier style
Aces decorated with delicate wreath motifs
Card backs: one deck in pastel blue, one deck in pastel pink
Both decks show the same finely drawn bird illustration: two songbirds sitting on a flowering branch, rendered in sepia linework
Jokers (3 per deck): a drumming court jester in a historical costume
Original two-part Patience box with cream-colored textured lid and red base
“Patience” title embossed in brown lettering
Both decks appear unused, clean and color-stable
Cards and jokers in very good condition
Box attractively preserved with only minor, age-appropriate wear on the underside
