This original Piquet deck was produced in the 1920s by the renowned manufacturer J. Müller & Cie in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The traditional Swiss card factory was known for precision, clean print quality and elegant design – characteristics that are clearly visible in this deck.
The “Cartes Fines” series reflects the restrained design language of the 1920s and combines refined production quality with understated aesthetics. During this period, Piquet was a widely played social card game throughout Europe and was considered a sophisticated pastime for cultivated game circles.
