An original Patience set from the Weimar Republic era. In the 1920s, “Salon Patience” and solitaire games were an integral part of bourgeois leisure culture – and this Stralsund set brings exactly this atmosphere back to the table today. The Vereinigte Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken were known for their classic German quality production, fine design and the characteristic patina that develops over time.
Card backs: two colour variants (red & dark blue) with star pattern
lightly played, attractive and even age patina
cards overall clean and well usable
minor age-related edge and corner wear possible (consistent with the period)
inner tuck boxes show slight age-related wear – structurally stable and authentic condition
typical signs of use on edges and flaps, yet stable and appropriate for the set
outer clamshell box slightly bumped and lightly rubbed – age-appropriate, unobtrusive wear with a solid overall appearance
