An authentic historical piece from the 1930s: this fine double-figure Skat deck in the traditional Saxon double figure design was produced by the renowned Vereinigte Altenburger und Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken in Altenburg, Germany.
A particularly charming feature is the advertising back design.
The card backs display a vintage automobile advertisement from the mineral oil company EUCO, featuring the slogan:
“Motorists take note: Good lubrication – Vitamol.”
This creates a unique combination of classic German playing-card craftsmanship and authentic pre-war advertising history.

Original tuck box, showing typical age-related wear and light edge wear
Attractive authentic patina with honest signs of age: the Blatt 10 was once repaired, the Heart 7 and Heart Ace show small edge tears, and the Acorn 9 has a minor surface flaw (see photo 8). Such age-related traces are common for historical playing cards of this period
