A beautiful and authentic Skat deck from the Altenburger Spielkartenfabrik – the well-known “Klub Karte No. 9R” from the early 1970s.
This deck represents a classic example of East German playing card production, combining traditional illustration style with the characteristic clarity and color intensity of Altenburg printing.
The French suit features finely detailed court cards in the typical Altenburg design:
Queens in richly decorated dresses with floral elements and jewelry,
Jacks in Renaissance-style attire with halberds and feathered hats,
clean, vibrant printing with carefully executed details.
The card backs display an elegant green floral and ornamental pattern – a distinctive COEUR design of the period.
The cards are unplayed and in absolutely mint condition, with a smooth surface and brilliant colors.
The original tuck box is also in excellent condition – clean, stable, and nearly as new.
A well-preserved classic from Altenburg, widely regarded as the historic center of German playing card production.
An ideal collector’s item for enthusiasts of vintage playing cards or a refined gift for Skat players.
