A rare and charming advertising Skat deck “Tonolift – raises the blood pressure”, produced in 1966 by the Bielefelder Spielkartenfabrik for Efeka – Friedrich & Kaufmann Pharmaceutical Factory, Hanover.
The delightful pin-up illustrations were designed by the graphic artist Heinz Villiger and perfectly capture the visual spirit of the 1960s – humorous, elegant and unmistakably mid-century design.
A nostalgic collector’s item that combines medical advertising and playing card art in a unique way.
The cards are in excellent condition, while the original tuck box shows minor signs of use. The bottom flap of the box is missing, but the box remains stable and displayable.
