An original Skat deck from the 1940s, produced by the Vereinigte Altenburger und Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken. The so-called “Schwerdter” pattern No. 128 in the Saxon double-image style is one of the classic German card designs and reflects a long-standing playing card tradition.
Authentic decks from this period are becoming increasingly scarce and convey a direct sense of mid-20th century playing culture.
