Antique Gaming Token Tray with Skat Motif – German Empire, 1910s
A beautiful and authentic collectible from the early 20th century: this antique gaming token tray (Jeton tray / gambling chip dish) originates from the period of the German Empire and reflects the long tradition of card playing culture in Germany.
The tray is made of deep-drawn lacquered metal and decorated with a Skat playing card motif. The illustration shows the traditional Saxon double-figure playing card design with a tax stamp, emphasizing the historical connection to the German Reich and the authenticity of the piece.
Along the rim the tray is stamped “Made in Germany”, a mark widely used for exported German goods of the early 20th century. Despite its age from the 1910s, the tray remains in very good decorative condition and works beautifully as a collectible or display object.
